1. How many days does it take to renew my license?
As per the Nepal Nursing Council (NNC), the renewal process usually takes 30–35 working days.
2. Can I renew my license after the expiration date?
Yes, you can. However, a late renewal fee will apply based on how many days have passed since expiration. Beyond 95 days, re-registration is required.
3. What documents are required for renewal?
You need the following documents:
- Original license
- Citizenship Copy
- Tax clearance
- Photo 2 (passport size)
- SBI bank payment receipt
- DHL receipt (for sending documents via DHL) - Internal use
4. What happens if I do not renew my license?
You won’t be allowed to practice legally as a nurse in Nepal until you complete the re-registration process with NNC.
5. Is online submission enough or do I need to visit NNC?
The online submission is the first step. In some cases, physical verification or document submission may be required by NNC if issues arise.
